Getting invited to lots of fun parties during the hot summer months? Who isn’t!? The warm weather gets everyone in the entertaining spirit—and what better way to show off that beautifully sunkissed skin of yours than don a great new season appropriate ensemble. Of course, as with anything, be sure that you are dressed appropriately for whatever the occasion calls for—when in doubt dress up!
Graduation Party: Ah! your buds are all having grad parties and you want to show up looking chic! Most of these parties are casual afternoon get togethers that may move on later in the eve. To prepare for the night time chill be sure to bring a shrunken denim jacket to throw on for the after hours fun, but show up looking fresh and cute in white linen or cotton shorts (be sure they fit appropriately - not too short; not too tight) paired with a classic nautical striped shirt (choose one with puffed sleeves like shown for an updated feel) and metallic sandals!
Pool Party: Don’t just show up in your bathing suit -TOOBORING! Make a splash and pair your too cute suit with a fun and fabulous cover-up! Sheer fabrics in vibrant colors will look pretty poolside and will ensure you make a grand entrance. Don’t forget the uber-cool shades and of course over-the-top huge earrings and bangles for an added exotic feel.
Dinner Party/Wedding: Show your hostess you care and dress up for their efforts and fun soiree. Kick it up in a fem dress with higher than high heels and glitz it up with sparkly accessories or an eye-catching hair clip.
GUYS: Dressing the part for the parties you are attending is just as important. Who ever said that you didn’t want to make a GRAND entrance?!
Graduation Party: Like the ladies keep it causal. Instead of jeans though, try a pair of subtly printed shorts that hit just above the knee paired with a button down shirt and this season’s must have—the Boat Shoe.
Pool Party: Do it up in some brightly hued swim trunks with a polo style printed shirt worn over top. Finish with a straw fedora and of course timeless aviator shades.
