Christina: I was referred by a friend of mine, and thought it seemed like a good opportunity!
Do you feel you would have been exposed to the auditions and assignments you’ve received without representation through Pro-Model and Talent?
Christina: Not at all. I wouldn’t be working locally, or have found representation in Los Angeles without Pro-Model and Talent. I don’t think I would have accomplished much of anything on my own.
Tell us about some of the auditions and assignments you’ve done.
Christina: When I was in Los Angeles, I auditioned for shows on The Disney Channel, “Cory In The House” was my fave. I’ve also auditioned for projects on Nickelodeon, and snagged a co-starring role for “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” and some commercial print for WalMart. Here in Ohio, I’ve done shoots for Playhouse Square and Johnsonite Flooring. I was also a feature character in a P.B.S. special, and I just shot a national spot for Nesquick, right in Cleveland!
With your experience now, do you feel training is important to succeed as a local model/actor? If so, why?
Christina: Of course. Even now I know I can still use more training in the industry. No matter how long you’re in the business, learning more only helps. Successful people in the industry never stop training, and that’s what makes them the best!
What is your best piece of advice for aspiring models or actors beginning in the local market?
Christina: Accept and learn from constructive criticism, it only helps if you let it! Remember it takes time to get the top! Everyone starts somewhere and with the right skills and agency representation, you can go far!
