How did you discover Pro-Model and Talent Management?

Jessica: I spoke to a Pro-Model and Talent Agency Representative at a community event, and an interest was sparked! I looked into the Agency, and the rest is history!

Do you feel you would have been exposed to the auditions and assignments you’ve received without representation through Pro-Model and Talent?

Jessica: No, and even if I did have opportunities of the same caliber I’ve received through Pro-Model and Talent, I would have failed miserably without working through them. I really needed to learn what to do in order to be prepared and excel. My curiosity took me to different meetings, auditions, open calls, and agencies. After lots of research and checking around, I figured out that Barbizon of Akron and Pro-Model and Talent was the real deal. They do exactly what they say they are going to do and couldn’t be nicer and more skilled. They really know what they are doing. I suggest Barbizon of Akron and Pro-Model and Talent to anyone looking to get into local modeling and acting. They are the Agency to get hooked up with, if you have the opportunity.

Tell us about some of the auditions and assignments you’ve done.

Jessica: I have worked regularly for over a year with Classic Imports in Wooster as a fit model for one of their lines of clothing, which brings in great money over and over again! I’ve also been in a Serpentini commercial, and recently shot the cover of a romance novel as the heroine in the story—who would have thought I’d be on the cover of a novel! I’ve auditioned for big companies, too, like Victoria’s Secret, Safe Auto, and Uniontown Hospitals. I’m continuing to learn and grow, and can’t wait to book even more!

With your experience now, do you feel training is essential in the business? Why?

Jessica: Yes I do! After the number of jobs I’ve done, I’ve seen other models who were so under prepared, that it made the clients happier with me! Without the training I received I would have been in the same position as those other models who didn’t snag the job. There is so much more to know other than just being a pretty face.

What is your best piece of advice for aspiring models or actors beginning in the local market?

Jessica: My best advice would be to educate yourself through Barbizon of Akron and list with Pro-Model and Talent as your agency if you can! Also, know that personality is a huge factor for success. Be patient when you’re getting started, and take every opportunity that comes your way.
